The Great
Way is not difficult
for those
who have no preferences.
When love
and hate are both absent
everything
becomes clear and undisguised.
Make the
smallest distinction, however,
and
heaven and earth are set infintely apart

Information about
Wednesday evening zazen and service:
Beginners please arrive at 6:15pm for meditation instruction.
Our
practice begins with a Buddhist service. We sit zazen (seated meditation)
for 25 minutes, and walk kinhin (walking meditation) for 10 minutes.
There are three sitting periods.
Zazen may
be done in a chair or on a cushion and mat on the floor. While there are
usually extra cushions and mats available, please bring your own if you have
them. Our teacher, Sensei Merle Kodo Boyd, often offers encouraging words
during the second period of zazen.
The
evening usually ends by 9:00pm. We collect donations to give to the
Meetinghouse in gratitude for use of their space.
Our
schedule occasionally varies around major holidays or very inclement weather.
If you have any questions regarding our schedule or our practice, please email info@lincroftzen.org or call
(732) 291-3987 (Sensei) or (732) 708-0103 (Nyodo).
We look
forward to practicing with you.
